Build Your Life on Solid Ground.
This might be your experience:
You try too hard to stay on track.
You feel like there are times when things get better, but they are short lived and the crash is debilitating.
You think that if you could just do more, think more positively, eat better, work out more, get a better job…. then it would all get better.
You work yourself to the bone to create balance yet nothing ever feels easy.
You need a new point of view because you can’t “think” your way out of these feelings.
You find it much easier to help others than to help yourself.
You find yourself constantly caught up in numbing behaviors (scrolling, binging eating, drinking, smoking, using.)
You just can’t let go…
If this is you, we understand.
We are here to help.

If you have an insurance plan that we are not in network with, you may still be able to get reimbursed for therapy services. Here is a helpful “how to” guide on superbills:
🧾 How to Check Out-of-Network Benefits & Submit a Superbill for Reimbursement
If you're working with a therapist who is out-of-network (OON) with your insurance plan, you may still be able to receive partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill. Here's how to do it:
✅ Step 1: Check Your Out-of-Network Benefits
Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?
Do these benefits cover CPT codes 90791 (initial intake), 90834 (45-minute session), and/or 90837 (60-minute session)?
What is my deductible for out-of-network mental health care?
How much of my deductible have I met so far?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed after I meet the deductible?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions per year?
Do I need pre-authorization or a referral from my primary care physician?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement (mail, online portal, app)?
Take notes during the call and ask for a reference number for your records.
📄 Step 2: Request a Superbill
Ask your therapist or their billing department to provide a superbill. This is a receipt that includes all the necessary information your insurance company needs to process your claim, including:
Provider’s name, NPI number, and license information
Date(s) of service
CPT codes (service codes)
Diagnosis code (required by insurance)
Session fee paid
Proof of payment (if required)
At Solid Ground Counseling, we provide superbills monthly or upon request—just let us know!
📤 Step 3: Submit the Superbill to Your Insurance
Follow your insurance company's specific instructions. Submission options may include:
Online portal (log into your insurance account and upload documents)
Mobile app
Mail or fax (use the address on your insurance card or website)
Include the superbill and any required forms your insurer asks for. Some may require a claim form, which can typically be found on their website.
🔁 Step 4: Track Your Reimbursement
After submission:
Keep a copy of everything you sent.
Monitor your insurance portal or call to confirm the claim is processing.
Reimbursement checks may arrive by mail or direct deposit, depending on your preferences with the insurer.

Founder
I have been providing individual counseling to the Deland Community since 2021. My background prior to starting my practice was in inpatient trauma, substance use, and mental health treatment. I am trained in several modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am trained as a specialist in perinatal mood disorders and love working with parents as they navigate pregnancy and early parenthood.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and cooperative.
You are the expert of your life and you know what you need to be well. My job is to work alongside you to help you discern and better understand your unmet needs and less-than-helpful behaviors that might be getting in your way.
I am client centered and holistic in my approach. I am not here to waste your time and I do not want to be the kind of therapist that you need to see forever. We will have a clear goal and we will work hard to get there. You will take away tangible ways to better manage your day-to-day life and will identify way to increase effectiveness in all areas of your life.

Every person at some point in their journey reaches the “melting point” that like a solid bar of metal breaks down, overwhelms, and liquifies our resolve, spirit, and voice. Life is challenging, unpredictable, unexpected, and sometimes unfair. No one is crazy or broken, but rather human. Some of us on top of it all have additional genetic risks, loss of or strained/toxic support systems, chemical imbalances, medical conditions, lack of sleep, identity/role and life stage confusion, and past trauma that make navigating the present like trying to see through a hurricane from its center.
When we meet, we just talk, and to meet your unique needs I use a variety of different treatment approaches such as person-centered and culturally sensitive therapy, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and trauma/PTSD-informed interventions. I have over 6 years of experience navigating life crises, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief, trauma, and Bipolar Disorder to adults and their loved ones across the lifespan to end-of-life. I specialize in the treatment of comorbid mental health and complex medical conditions, loss of independence, grief, and caregiver adjustment and burnout. My skills and experiences stem from Skilled Nursing facilities, In/Outpatient Hospitals, Cancer Institutes, and a residential mental health facility. I am also very passionate of providing support for emotional burnout, vicarious trauma, self-care, and work/life stress support for the community, health care providers, and students/working professionals. I’d be honored to meet and learn more about you.

Specialized therapy to reduce symptoms of anxiety, anger, addictions, depression, sadness, grief, irritability, hypervigilance, flashbacks, nightmares, maladaptive behavioral patterns, dissociative disorders (including DID/OSDD), PTSD, and C-PTSD. Ages 10-99.
Let’s try a therapy that works! Journey with me as we take a three-prong approach in treatment that will identify somatic, emotional, and cognitive awareness for healing. I offer 55 min sessions (extended sessions can be discussed) and concentrate on identifying the root causes of your “trauma, anxiety and depression.” Therapy is not meant to be forever & a day…let’s get creative and figure out how to work with your body on an actual healing experience and get you back to your life.
I am skilled in working with:
· Adolescents and adults (ages 10-99)
· Dissociative systems (DID/OSDD) and dissociative disorders
· Active-duty military & veterans
· First-responders
· College students
· I am cultural, spiritual/religious, and LGBTQIA+ trained and sensitive in our sessions.
In our sessions, I work with the whole-body experience using non-touch, somatic-focused therapy. I am professionally trained in:
· EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
· Emotionally Focused Therapy (Individuals and Couples)
· Bowen Family Systems
· Sand-tray Therapy
I am also trained in these other therapy models and may incorporate them into our session as well: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
During our sessions, we will work together to understand how your mind and body function at its best so you can continue to heal outside of the session. If you are motivated for a higher quality of life, you do not have to do this alone. We got this!
